Sustainability & Materials
We want to be straight with you, because “eco-friendly” gets stamped on a lot of things that don’t earn it.
Where we honestly stand
Many of our toys are made from soft plastics and silicones, materials like TPR and PU foam. These aren’t biodegradable, and we’re not going to pretend they are. Calling a squishy “green” when it isn’t would be greenwashing, and we’d rather keep your trust than win a buzzword.
What we can do, we try to do well.
The things we actually do
- We design toys to last. The most sustainable toy is the one you don’t have to replace. We choose durable materials and describe care simply, so your toy stays in your hand and out of the bin longer.
- We keep packaging modest. We use recyclable packaging where we can and skip the excess. No oversized boxes, no plastic theater.
- We’re picky about what we make. We’d rather offer a smaller range of toys we believe in than flood you with things that won’t get used.
- We choose safer materials. Our toys are BPA-free and phthalate-free and tested to the EN71 safety standard: better for you, and a more responsible choice overall.
What we’re still working on
We’re a small operation, and we don’t have everything figured out. We’re learning more about recyclable and lower-impact materials, and as better options become genuinely viable (not just marketable), we’ll move toward them. When we make a real improvement, we’ll tell you plainly. When we haven’t yet, we won’t dress it up.
That’s the deal: honest materials, honest limits, and steady steps in the right direction.
