Mochi Octopus Slow-Rise Squishy
Pillow-soft slow-rise comfort and a desk-side mood lift
Squishies & Slow-Rising Toys
A slow-rising, glitter-filled jellyfish squishy that melts the tension out of your hands one slow squeeze at a time.
Meet Drift, the jellyfish that turns a restless moment into a tiny pocket of calm. Made from soft, stretchy TPR with a maltose-smooth surface, this squishy compresses into your palm and then s-l-o-w-l-y blooms back to its full domed shape over several seconds. That delayed rebound is the whole magic: it gives your eyes something gentle to follow and your hands something soothing to do, so a spike of stress has somewhere to go. Suspended glitter shimmers through the translucent body as it rises, adding a quiet, hypnotic sparkle that's genuinely hard to look away from. At a hand-friendly 8 cm it lives easily on a desk, in a bag, or on a nightstand for those 2 a.m. moments when your brain won't switch off. Squeeze it during a hard email, flatten it before a presentation, or pass it around as the calmest gift on the table. Drift doesn't ask for batteries, an app, or your attention forever, just one slow squeeze whenever you need to come back to yourself.
Body molded from soft, food-grade-style TPR (thermoplastic rubber) with cosmetic-grade glitter suspended inside the translucent dome. BPA- and phthalate-free, EN71 tested.
Wipe clean with a slightly damp cloth and air dry fully before storing. Keep out of direct sunlight and away from heat, which can soften the TPR. Do not submerge, microwave, or freeze. If it picks up lint, a quick rinse and pat-dry restores the smooth surface.

Keeps my hands busy at work without anyone noticing. Love it.
better than expected
My husband is obsessed with this squishy — hasn’t put it down.
does the job
Use it at work every day. Couldn’t be happier.
stress eating replacement that worked
Retired and bored which apparently meant constant snacking. My daughter suggested a fidget instead of the cookie jar. Sounds silly but giving my hands the jellyfish to squeeze while I watch tv has genuinely cut down the mindless grazing. Slow, satisfying, and I'm not eating my feelings as much. Ocean Blue, sits on the arm of the recliner.
does the job
So soft and the slow rebound is genuinely satisfying. Would buy again in a heartbeat.
so soft
Better made than the cheap ones online — this one actually lasts.
so soft
Gave it to my little brother and it was a hit. Might order one for myself.
great toy, faint smell took a couple days
No issues with how it works, the slow rebound is satisfying and it's properly quiet for the office. Mine did have a mild rubbery scent out of the packet that hung around for two days or so before fading completely. Not chemical exactly, just new-rubber. Aired out fine. If it had arrived smell-free it'd be five.
does the job
Honestly didn’t expect much for the price and it gives my nervous energy somewhere to go.
got all four colorways over time
It started with the Aurora Pink and now I have the whole set, one for the desk, one for the nightstand, one in the car, one in my bag. Yes I have a problem. But for the price I'd rather have a jellyfish in reach everywhere than be hunting for one when the anxiety hits. They all rise the same, the glitter colors just hit different in different light. Clear Sparkle is my sleeper favorite.
so worth it
keeps my hands busy on flights without anyone noticing. Love it.
calm corner in my classroom
Teacher here. Bought a few of these for the calm corner in my fourth grade room and the kids gravitate to this one over the spinners and poppers. Silent, so it doesn't derail the room, and the glitter gives the anxious ones something to focus on while they regulate. They hold up to enthusiastic small hands better than I expected. Wiped them down weekly. Ordering more for next year.
better than expected
So soft and the slow rise is genuinely satisfying. No notes, love it.
fine but the novelty faded for me
It's a perfectly decent squishy and I can't fault the build, soft TPR, quiet, the slow rise does what it says. For me personally the calming effect wore off after a few weeks and now it just sits in a drawer. I think I'm more of a clicky-fidget person and this is too gentle to hold my attention. No complaints about quality, just didn't stick for my particular brain. Three stars because it's exactly as advertised, it's me not it.
calm in the palm
So glad I bought it. Scratches the sensory itch just right.
lovely little thing
Didn’t think a jellyfish squishy would do much, but it is so satisfying to squish.
skin picking has a new outlet
I'm a chronic skin picker when I'm anxious and I've been trying to give my hands a different job. This has actually helped, when I notice my fingers wandering I reach for the jellyfish and squeeze instead. The buttery surface is satisfying enough that it scratches the itch. Just one part of what I'm doing, but a part that works. Aurora Pink.
so worth it
got the Lilac Mist and it’s even prettier in person. Couldn’t be happier.
tiny pocket of calm, literally
Carry it in my scrubs pocket on shift. Between patients I'll do a few slow squeezes in the supply room and reset. Soft, silent, fits anywhere. The Lilac Mist is gorgeous under the fluorescent lights, weirdly.
update after three months
Original review was a quick five stars after a week. Coming back because it's still going strong. I have it on the nightstand for the nights my head won't switch off and it's part of the routine now, lights off, phone face down, slow squeeze until I drift. Glitter has settled a touch toward the bottom but a few presses stirs it back up. Lilac Mist still looks beautiful in the lamp light. No regrets, would buy again.

Got the Clear Sparkle and it’s even prettier in person. Couldn’t be happier.
so soft
Before bed this is exactly what my hands needed. Better than I expected.

Keeps my hands busy at school without anyone noticing. Love it.
does the job
Keeps my hands busy in meetings without anyone noticing. Love it.
buy it
Quiet, calming, perfect for on long calls. Worth it.
nice but the glitter pooled on one side
I want to be fair because there's a lot to like here, it's soft, it's quiet, the slow rise is genuinely soothing. But after about two months of daily use most of the glitter has migrated to one side of the dome and it won't really redistribute anymore unless I work it around with my fingers. Lost some of the snow-globe effect that sold me on it. Still squeeze it, just a little disappointed it's not as pretty as month one.
does the job
Bought one, already ordered another. It keeps my hands busy so I can actually listen.
really good, one small thing
Really like this jellyfish — it lives on my nightstand now. Only thing, mine arrived with a small crease that mostly settled. Still using it daily.
best gift I've given all year
Gave the Clear Sparkle to my partner who has panic stuff and a habit of white-knuckling his phone when it hits. Watching him squeeze the jellyfish and actually slow his breathing instead of scrolling was the moment I knew it was money well spent. He keeps it in his work bag now. Bought myself the Lilac Mist out of jealousy.
my new favorite
My teenager is obsessed with this jellyfish — hasn’t put it down.
slower to rise when the room is cold
Good little squishy and the price is fair. One genuine observation: in my flat in winter it takes noticeably longer to bloom back, more like six or seven seconds, almost like it's stiff. Warm it in your hands first and it's back to normal. In summer it's perfect. Docking one star purely for the cold-room sluggishness, otherwise no notes.
almost perfect
Really like this jellyfish — it helps me feel a bit calmer. Only thing, there was a faint smell the first day that aired out. Still using it daily.
a bit let down
Wanted to love it but mine arrived with a small crease that mostly settled. The idea is good and it looked great, just didn’t hold up the way I hoped.
exam season survival
Grad student here. Bought it during finals when my hands wouldn't stay still at my desk. The wait-for-it-to-rise rhythm is weirdly good for breaking the panic spiral before an exam. Used it in the library, dead silent, no judgment. Aurora Pink. Worth far more than I paid.
good, minor niggle
Really like this squishy — it keeps my hands busy so I can actually listen. Only thing, the printed face fades a little with handling. Still using it daily.
11pm, brain racing, this helps
That window between getting into bed and actually sleeping used to be an hour of spiraling. Now it's slow squeezes in the dark watching the glitter drift back through the Ocean Blue dome until I get drowsy. It hasn't fixed my anxiety, nothing does, but it gives the restless energy somewhere to land. The silence is key, my husband sleeps right through it.
a bit let down
Wanted to love it but there was a faint smell the first day that aired out. The idea is good and it looked great, just didn’t hold up the way I hoped.
happy overall
really like this jellyfish — it gives my nervous energy somewhere to go. Only thing, it’s a bit smaller than I pictured. Still using it daily.
hooked
Gave it to a coworker and it was a hit. Might order one for myself.
the glitter is genuinely mesmerizing
ok the calming part is real but i mostly want to talk about how pretty it is. press it flat, let go, and the glitter swirls back up through the dome as it fills out. i zone out watching it. Clear Sparkle catches my desk lamp like a little aquarium. would not have guessed a $13 toy could look this good.
picks up lint like a magnet
Texture out of the box is lovely and the calm-down ritual works for me before bed. My one gripe: I keep it in my coat pocket and it grabs every bit of lint and crumb in there. The care card does say to wipe it with a damp cloth, which fixes it instantly, but I have to do that more often than I'd like. If you're a pocket carrier just know you'll be cleaning it. Still glad I have it.
buy it
Honestly didn’t expect much for the price and it has become part of my wind-down.
great little fidget
My restlessness is easier to sit with when this is in my hand.
second one I've ordered
First one I bought for myself and liked it so much I got the Aurora Pink for my sister who's a nursing student pulling night shifts. She texted me a photo of it clipped, well, sat, on top of her study notes at 3am. We both like that the glitter drifts to one position and slowly redistributes as it rises. Tiny thing, big calm. Reordering a Lilac Mist next for our mum.
the rise is the whole point
what makes this better than the dollar-store slow rise squishies i've tried is the recovery is consistent. squeeze it flat, count to four-ish, it blooms back smooth every time. the cheap ones either snap back or stay dented. glitter suspended inside is a nice touch but the rebound is why i keep it on my desk.
does the job
In class this is exactly what my hands needed. No notes, love it.
a bit let down
Wanted to love it but the printed face fades a little with handling. The idea is good and it looked great, just didn’t hold up the way I hoped.
better than expected
My wife is obsessed with this squishy — hasn’t put it down.
does the job
So soft and the slow rise is genuinely satisfying. Couldn’t be happier.
swapped my phone for this and my evenings improved
Started keeping it on the couch as a dumb little experiment to stop reaching for my phone every two minutes at night. Now when my hand goes looking for the doomscroll, it grabs this instead. The glitter does the thing the phone does, gives your eyes something to follow, except it doesn't end with me angry about the news at midnight. Clear Sparkle, looks like a snow globe when it's recovering.
so soft
Honestly didn’t expect much for the price and it settles my hands when I’m anxious.
good, minor niggle
Really like this jellyfish squishy — it has become part of my wind-down. Only thing, there was a faint smell the first day that aired out. Still using it daily.
mixed feelings
the squishy is genuinely nice, but the printed face fades a little with handling. It’s fine, just landed in the middle for me.
my flight companion now
Long haul from Brisbane and I'm a nervous flyer. Took this in my carry on and squeezed it through every patch of turbulence. Silent so the person next to me had no idea, and it doesn't roll away like a fidget cube. Fits in the seat pocket, weighs nothing. Came home and it's earned a spot on the nightstand too.
soft, silent, perfect
Exactly what I wanted. Quiet enough for the bedroom, soft enough to fall asleep holding. Ocean Blue.
hooked
keeps my hands busy during lectures without anyone noticing. Love it.
so worth it
honestly didn’t expect much for the price and it takes the edge off when I’m wound up.
great with a tiny caveat
really like this squishy — it helps me sit still in meetings. Only thing, mine arrived with a small crease that mostly settled. Still using it daily.
quit chewing my pen for this
Stress at work had me destroying pen caps. This redirected the whole habit. Keep it in my left hand during deadlines and squeeze while I type with the right. Holds up to a lot of abuse.
love it
Keep one in waiting rooms and another at work. Would buy again in a heartbeat.
a calm-down option my clients actually reach for
I'm an OT and I keep a small basket of fidget options in my space for kids and adults to try. This one gets picked up the most, mostly by the anxious ones. The slow rebound matters more than people realize, it builds in a natural pause where a regular squishy just snaps back and you're done. It's silent, it's discreet, and it doesn't look clinical. I tell families it's a supportive tool, not a fix, but as tools go it's a good one. Bought a second for the waiting area.
my new favorite
Use it in class every day. No notes, love it.
calmest thing on my desk
Customer support job, calls back to back, and this rides out the rough ones. I press it under the desk where the customer can't hear anything because it makes zero noise. The slow rise gives me roughly four seconds to not say what I'm thinking. Bought the Ocean Blue.
much smaller than the photos suggested
This is on me for not reading the specs closely but it's a lot smaller than the pictures made me think, the dome is about the size of a golf ball, maybe a touch bigger. For an adult hand looking for a meaty squeeze it's underwhelming. The squishy itself is fine, soft and quiet like they say, the slow rise works. I just wanted something I could really grip and this gets lost in my hand. Would suit a kid or someone with smaller hands.
great little fidget
So glad I bought it. Lives on my nightstand now.
really good, one small thing
Really like this jellyfish squishy — it stopped me reaching for my phone. Only thing, mine arrived with a small crease that mostly settled. Still using it daily.
smaller than i pictured but i actually prefer it
Going in I thought 8cm would feel tiny, and it does sit fully in your palm, but that turned out to be the point. It hides in my fist during meetings and nobody knows. Buttery surface, never gets that tacky stress-ball feel. Lilac Mist for me.
so worth it
my wife asked me to order them their own. That says it all.
so soft
bought one, already ordered another. It has become part of my wind-down.

lovely, slightly rubbery the first day
Genuinely soft and the slow rise is exactly as described, maybe four seconds in a warm room. The only thing keeping it from full marks is a faint rubbery smell when I first unboxed it. Left it out on the windowsill overnight and by day two it was gone, but worth a heads up if you're sensitive to that. Otherwise no complaints, the Ocean Blue glitter is gorgeous.
love it
my daughter asked me to order them their own. That says it all.
almost perfect

bought it for my anxious teen, now we both fight over it
Got this for my 14 year old who's been having a rough time with school anxiety. She took it the second the package opened and it's lived in her hoodie pocket since. The other day I caught myself squeezing it while I was on hold with the insurance company and got it. It's soft enough that it doesn't feel like a kids toy, which mattered to her. Aurora Pink, and the glitter genuinely is hypnotic.
love it
This little jellyfish feels amazing in the hand. Five stars from me.

perfect desk fidget for an adhd brain
ADHD adult, open-plan office, and I cannot do clicky pens without coworkers wanting to murder me. This is completely silent which is the whole reason I bought it. I keep it next to my keyboard and squeeze it through long Zoom calls. The slow rise keeps my hands busy way longer than a regular stress ball because you actually wait for it to come back. Three weeks in and it's holding up fine.
love it
Quiet, calming, perfect for at my desk. No notes, love it.
wasn't expecting much for the money
Honestly bought it as a stocking filler and assumed it'd be a flimsy bit of tat. It's not. The TPR is properly soft and the slow rebound feels considered, not a gimmick. My partner keeps stealing it during football matches when he's stressed. Might have to buy a second.
great little fidget

the 2am brain finally has somewhere to go
I'm one of those people who lies down at night and my whole day starts replaying in HD. Kept this on the nightstand for a week before writing anything and honestly it's become part of the wind-down. Squeeze, watch the glitter settle back through the dome as it puffs out, repeat. Something about that slow few seconds before it fills out again pulls my breathing down with it. Got the Ocean Blue and the suspended sparkle is prettier in person than the photos. Not a sleeping pill, but it's quietly become how I tell my body the day is over.
so worth it
Keep one on the couch and another at my desk. Better than I expected.
love it
use it on long calls every day. Worth it.

an early favorite, just wish it were bigger
One of the first things I bought when I was hunting for something to fidget with that wasn't loud. The slow rise is lovely and it's silent like they promise, so it passes in meetings without anyone noticing. My only real wish is that it were a bit larger, at roughly 8cm it sits entirely in my palm and I'd have liked a touch more to grip. Aurora Pink, and the glitter still catches my eye months later.

7 questions answered by our team and buyers
Ask a questionDoes this genuinely help with ADHD focus, or is it just a toy?
Honest answer: it helps a lot of people, and we won't pretend it's magic. Having something to squish with your hands can take the edge off restlessness, stress or the urge to fidget, and many of our customers find that genuinely steadying. It is a supportive tool though, not a treatment or a cure. If you're navigating a diagnosis, a professional is the right person to guide that.
Not a cure obviously, but it's become part of how I get through tense afternoons. Worth a try.
How fast is shipping?
We dispatch within 1 to 2 business days with tracking, and US orders over $35 ship free. You'll get a tracking email the moment it's on the way.
Is the Drift Jellyfish actually quiet enough to use in a quiet office?
Completely silent, yes. No clicks, no pops, nothing for anyone to notice. It's one of the toys we specifically recommend for meetings, classrooms and quiet offices.
How big is it really? It's hard to judge the scale from photos.
It's about Approx. 8 cm tall × 4 cm wide. It sits comfortably in an adult palm and tucks into a bag or pocket easily. The full dimensions are in the details table on this page.
Is this safe for kids? Wondering about my 7 year old.
Age guidance is 8+. It has small parts, so it isn't suitable for under-3s and we'd supervise younger children. That guidance is printed on the pack and listed in the details here.
Would this make a good gift?
It's one of our most-gifted toys. If you're not certain they'll bond with this exact one, the Calm Starter Bundle lets them find their own favourite, and everything arrives ready to give.
Does it hold up over time, or does the slow-rising wear out?
Made from body molded from soft, food-grade-style tpr (thermoplastic rubber) with cosmetic-grade glitter suspended inside the translucent dome, it's built for daily handling, and plenty of customers have used theirs every day for well over a year. A quick wipe now and then keeps it at its best.
Good to know
