Drift Jellyfish Glitter Squishy
Slow-melt calm for anxious moments and 2 a.m. overthinking
Squishies & Slow-Rising Toys
A pillowy slow-rising octopus squishy with eight squeezable arms and a face that's impossible not to smile at.
Some days you just need to squeeze something soft and watch it slowly puff back to life. Enter the Mochi Octopus, a chubby, eight-armed cloud of slow-rising squishy with a sweet, sleepy expression printed right on. Press it flat and the little octopus rises back over a few unhurried seconds, a gentle, repeatable motion that pulls your attention off the stress loop in your head and onto something simple and kind. Each rounded arm gives a slightly different squish, so there's always a new texture to explore when your fingers are looking for something to do. It's cushiony enough to double as a tiny stress pillow on your desk and cute enough to earn a permanent spot there. Decompress after a hard meeting, help a kid wind down before bed, or pass it on as a thoughtful little gift. This octopus brings a soft, low-key calm wherever it lands. No noise, no mess, just slow squishy comfort that's always ready.
Slow-rising polyurethane (PU) foam with a soft, breathable skin and non-toxic printed detailing. BPA- and phthalate-free.
Spot-clean gently with a barely-damp cloth; do not soak, as foam squishies absorb water. Air dry fully and store away from sharp objects, oils, and direct heat. Keep out of mouths; the foam is not food-safe.

good, minor niggle
Really like this slow-rise squishy — it gives my nervous energy somewhere to go. Only thing, there was a faint smell the first day that aired out. Still using it daily.
got it for my wife, kept stealing it
This was meant to be a stocking-filler for my wife who's been stressed at work. Plan backfired, I keep it on my own desk now. The eight arms give you a surprising amount to mess with and the silent slow-rise means I can fidget through video calls without anyone hearing a thing. Sky Blue, soft and well made. Only nudge against it is the size — it photographs bigger than it is, so when it arrived I did a small double-take. Once you adjust your expectations it's a nice little thing.
exactly as described
Has become part of my wind-down. Silent too, which is the main thing for me.
hooked
This little squishy helps quiet my head before bed. Five stars from me.
so soft
Gave it to my granddaughter and it was a hit. Might order one for myself.
perfect little waiting-room distraction
Wasn't sure a squishy would do much for my flight nerves but the slow rebound is weirdly hypnotic — you press, it sinks, then it takes its time coming back and somehow that resets my breathing a little. Used it the whole descent into MSP. Tiny enough to live in my jacket pocket.
love it
Didn’t think a slow-rise squishy would do much, but it lives on my nightstand now.
love it
Worth it. Lives on my nightstand now.
lovely little thing
quiet, calming, perfect for at school. So glad I bought it.
Update after 3 months
Original review was just 'cute, soft, my daughter loves it.' Updating because it's still going strong months later and that surprised me for the price. She's a sensory-seeking kid who needs to squeeze something constantly, and the Coral Pink octopus has survived where two firmer squishies cracked. The matte skin still feels new. The arms are definitely the delicate part so we have a 'gentle hands' rule, but with that it's lasted. Easily our best-value sensory buy this year.
great little fidget
Gave it to my mum and it was a hit. Might order one for myself.
nice but one arm started to thin out
I like the thing, I do — the texture and the slow puff are lovely and my kid uses it daily. The reason it's a three for me is durability. My son is a squeezer, presses the arms HARD, and after about six weeks one of the thinner tentacle tips developed a little stress line where the skin's wearing. Hasn't torn through yet but you can tell that's where it'll go. If your kid is gentle this is a five. If they're a sensory-seeker who really cranks on it like mine, just go in knowing the arms are the weak point.
so soft
Quiet, calming, perfect for at my desk. Worth it.
lovely little thing
Bought one, already ordered another. It has become part of my wind-down.

This little squishy feels amazing in the hand. Five stars from me.
happy overall
Really like this squishy — it takes the edge off when I’m wound up. Only thing, mine arrived with a small crease that mostly settled. Still using it daily.
classroom calm corner hit
I teach second grade and bought one for our calm corner. The kids fight over it, honestly, which tells you everything. It's silent so it doesn't disrupt the class, and the slow rise is mesmerizing enough to actually settle a kid who's worked up. Lavender. I'm ordering a second so there's less squabbling.
calm in the palm
a few weeks in and it’s still in my pocket daily. Would buy again in a heartbeat.
wasn't expecting to love it this much
Ordered it half as a joke for my own anxiety after my therapist suggested I keep something tactile nearby. Turns out the little guy is a genuine help on tube journeys when I can feel my chest tightening — pressing the arms and watching them slowly fill back gives me something steady to focus on. Sky Blue, soft as anything, no smell. Smaller than I thought from the pictures but that actually makes it pocketable.

night shift companion
I work nights in a lab and the 3am stretch is brutal. Keeping my hands busy with something slow and silent helps me stay present without the click-click of a pen annoying everyone. The octopus is just the right weight, maybe 45g, sits in one hand. Buttercream. After a few months the squish hasn't gone flat, which I half expected.
buy it
Honestly didn’t expect much for the price and it helps quiet my head before bed.
not for me
Disappointed. Mine arrived with a small crease that mostly settled, and for me that’s the whole point of the slow-rise squishy. Yours might be fine, mine wasn’t.
really good, one small thing
Really like this squishy — it genuinely calms me down. Only thing, there was a faint smell the first day that aired out. Still using it daily.
so worth it
So soft and the slow rebound is genuinely satisfying. Couldn’t be happier.
great squish, a bit pricey for the size
No complaints about how it feels — the foam is soft and the rebound is exactly that slow 4-to-6 second creep that's so satisfying. My only hesitation is value. At 13.99 it's a couple dollars more than the no-name squishies I've bought before, and those were bigger if firmer. This one feels nicer in the hand, I'll give it that, so you're paying for quality not quantity. Coral Pink, good colour match to the listing.
decent for the price
The squishy is genuinely nice, but the printed face fades a little with handling. It’s fine, just landed in the middle for me.

good addition to a calm-down kit
I'm an OT and I keep a basket of regulation tools in my therapy room. This octopus gets reached for a lot — the slow rise gives kids a built-in pacing cue, and the varied arm textures hold attention for children who need more input. It's a supportive tool, not a fix, and I frame it that way with families, but as one piece of a sensory toolkit it does the job. Quiet, light, easy to wipe down between sessions.
so worth it
Gave it to a coworker and it was a hit. Might order one for myself.
my new favorite

my new favorite
In class this is exactly what my hands needed. Would buy again in a heartbeat.
the gift that landed
Sent this to my best friend after her dad's surgery — she's a worrier and I wanted something small and kind, not flowers that die. She texted me a photo of it on her nightstand the same day. The Lavender one is genuinely pretty, and the little face is impossible not to smile at. Wrapped it with a card. Easy win.
almost perfect
Really like this slow-rise squishy — it has become part of my wind-down. Only thing, the printed face fades a little with handling. Still using it daily.
great little fidget
Scratches the sensory itch just right. Silent too, which is the main thing for me.
cute but smaller than the photos suggest
Mixed feelings. The texture is genuinely lovely — pillowy, matte, exactly the slow rebound they describe. Where it lost me is the size. The listing says about 10cm and that's accurate, but the way it's photographed I expected something I could really sink both hands into, and it's closer to the size of a plum. For 14 dollars I think I wanted a bit more squish for the money. My daughter loves it though, so it wasn't a waste, it just wasn't what I had in my head.
wanted to love it
Wanted to love it but the printed face fades a little with handling. The idea is good and it looked great, just didn’t hold up the way I hoped.
soft cloud on my desk
It's basically a tiny stress pillow with a sleepy face. Squish, watch it breathe back out, repeat. Takes the edge off when my inbox is on fire.
exactly as described
Worth it. Helps quiet my head before bed.
decent for the price
The little squishy is genuinely nice, but it’s a bit smaller than I pictured. It’s fine, just landed in the middle for me.
so worth it
my restlessness is easier to sit with when this is in my hand.

my autistic teen carries it everywhere
My son is 14 and autistic, and he's particular about textures — most fidgets get rejected within a day. This one stuck. He likes that it's quiet enough to use in class without anyone clocking it, and the slow-rise gives him something predictable to do with his hands when the room gets loud. We've reordered the Sky Blue because the first is looking well-loved. Worth every cent of the import postage.

great with a tiny caveat
Really like this little squishy — it lives on my nightstand now. Only thing, mine arrived with a small crease that mostly settled. Still using it daily.
swapped it for my phone in meetings
11am standups used to be me doom-scrolling under the table. now i just work the arms one at a time while people talk and i actually retain more. the slow rise gives my brain a little reset between squeezes. lavender, sits next to my keyboard.
lovely little thing
Exactly what I hoped for. Has become part of my wind-down.

better than expected

ocean-themed and actually calming
I collect anything ocean — coral, jellyfish, you name it — and this little octopus fit right in on my shelf before I realized I'd be squeezing it all day instead of looking at it. The eight arms each squish a bit differently, the chunky ones near the body are firmer and the tips give way fast. Coral Pink looks exactly like the photos. Soft matte skin, no weird plastic smell out of the bag.
lovely, just handle the arms gently
Genuinely soft and the puff-back motion is oddly satisfying after a rough call. One thing worth knowing: the arm tips are thinner than the body and you can feel they'd give if you really yanked or twisted them. I'm careful with mine and it's held up fine over a couple months, but I wouldn't hand it to a toddler who'd treat it rough. For desk use by an adult it's great. Buttercream colour is more cream than yellow in person.
my new favorite
a few weeks in and it’s still in my pocket daily. No notes, love it.
the slow puff-back is the whole point
Bought this for my 8-year-old who melts down at bedtime, and the wind-down routine has gotten so much easier. He presses it flat, we count while it rises back — about four or five seconds — and by the third or fourth go his shoulders have dropped. Got the Sky Blue one. It's smaller than I pictured, more like the size of his palm than mine, but honestly that suits a kid's hands better. Silent, which matters because his sister's room is right next door.
better than expected

7 questions answered by our team and buyers
Ask a questionWould this work for an autistic adult who needs sensory input?
Honest answer: it helps a lot of people, and we won't pretend it's magic. Having something to squish with your hands can take the edge off restlessness, stress or the urge to fidget, and many of our customers find that genuinely steadying. It is a supportive tool though, not a treatment or a cure. If you're navigating a diagnosis, a professional is the right person to guide that.
Helps me more than I expected. mostly it just gives my hands a better job than picking at my nails.
Is the Mochi Octopus actually quiet enough to use in a quiet office?
Completely silent, yes. No clicks, no pops, nothing for anyone to notice. It's one of the toys we specifically recommend for meetings, classrooms and quiet offices.
Does it hold up over time, or does the slow-rising wear out?
Made from slow-rising polyurethane (pu) foam with a soft, breathable skin and non-toxic printed detailing, it's built for daily handling, and plenty of customers have used theirs every day for well over a year. A quick wipe now and then keeps it at its best.
How big is it really? It's hard to judge the scale from photos.
It's about Approx. 10 cm wide. It sits comfortably in an adult palm and tucks into a bag or pocket easily. The full dimensions are in the details table on this page.
Can I clean it if it gets grubby?
Spot-clean gently with a barely-damp cloth; do not soak, as foam squishies absorb water. Nothing fussy, and it freshens right up.
How fast is shipping?
We dispatch within 1 to 2 business days with tracking, and US orders over $35 ship free. You'll get a tracking email the moment it's on the way.
Would this make a good gift?
It's one of our most-gifted toys. If you're not certain they'll bond with this exact one, the Calm Starter Bundle lets them find their own favourite, and everything arrives ready to give.
